LG K31: Small affordable smartphone with a dual camera setup presented
LG today introduced the K31, a new smartphone that costs just $ 119 in the US. In return you get a very handy device with a 5.7 inch display and a dual camera setup.
With the K31, LG has released a new budget smartphone in the USA that will cost just 119 US dollars there. In this price segment, it has to compete with the major manufacturers from China and South Korea, who have started tough competition in the class in recent years.
With the K31 you get a handy 5.7 inch display that has a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels and has a waterdrop notch in the top center. The latter hides a 5 MP selfie camera, whereas the manufacturer installs two sensors on the back. The main camera has a resolution of 13 MP, while the wide-angle sensor has to make do with 5 MP. The fingerprint scanner is also on the back.
Inside, LG uses the Helio P22 as the processor, which is supported by 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded by up to 32 GB via a microSD card, which is unfortunately no longer entirely up-to-date. The built-in battery has an adequate capacity of 3000mAh. Here, too, the competition can often offer significantly more with 4000 or 5000mAh. As usual, Android 10 is preinstalled as the operating system. In summary, the LG K31 is a smartphone that will probably have a tough time in its price range. The availability of a wide-angle camera is a plus, but the small battery and 2 GB of RAM should deter many potential users.
