A 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, the eight-core SoC Snapdragon 730 and a quad camera with 64 MP resolution Samsung Galaxy A71 smartphone

Samsung’s new mid-range smartphone Galaxy A71 does not stack deep in terms of form factor or features. Our test shows whether this is enough to make the competition fear.Samsung has refreshed the design and hardware of its popular Galaxy A series. This also benefits our test candidate Samsung Galaxy A71 smartphone, one of the first representatives of the Galaxy A series in 2020.
With a diagonal of 6.7, the mid-range smartphone is practically the same size as its predecessor Galaxy A70 and continues to rely on a Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. The changes in the rest of the hardware are largely limited to minor details such as a slightly faster SoC (Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 instead of the former Snapdragon 675).
But there is one big innovation: On the back there is a completely revised camera unit, which is made up of four lenses. At 64 MP, the main wide-angle main camera has a resolution twice that of its predecessor, which is still limited to a triple camera (wide-angle + ultra-wide-angle + bokeh). Camera number 4 of the Galaxy A71 is a 5 MP macro camera.
The upgrades bring in total and whether even switching from the Galaxy A70 is worthwhile.
