Triple cam and 21: 9 OLED display are the most important innovations in the “Mark II” version of the Xperia 10, which Sony presented to the public as part of its livestream launch event. Like the flagship Xperia 1 Mark II, it should be available in a waterproof form in spring.
Spring makes everything new at Sony. Not only will the new flagship Xperia 1 II be available for the cherry blossom season in Japan and worldwide, the Midranger Xperia 10 will also receive an update and will be called the Xperia 10 II or Xperia 10 Mark II. This midranger based on the Snapdragon 665 with 4 GB In 2020, Sony will grant RAM and 128 GB of memory an OLED display in 21: 9 format, but here only with Full HD + resolution and not with 4K – but that should be more than enough for most.
The triple cam on the back is of course slimmed down compared to the Xperia 1 Mark II, but is also based here on a 26 mm 12 megapixel main camera with ultra wide angle (16 mm) and 52 mm 2x telephoto optics as a sidekick shooter, the last ones however, like the selfie cam on the front, both only provide 8 megapixel sensors. The just 151 gram light Sony-Phone will be waterproof like the big brother according to IP68 standard and offer a 3.5 mm jack socket for analog headphones, the battery almost 3,600 mAh. Sony has not yet commented on the price.
