Nokia 8.3 5G: smartphone, new clear cases and flip covers available
The Nokia 8.3 5G is now available in stores worldwide. In addition, there are a number of new covers for Nokia phones that offer smartphones more protection and security.
Worldwide market launch for the Nokia 8.3 5G
The Nokia 8.3 5G celebrated its global sales launch yesterday. The 6.81-inch smartphone from Nokia, measuring 171.9 x 78.6 x 9 millimeters and weighing 227 grams, is equipped with an FHD + “PureDisplay” in 20: 9 format, which has a recess for the front camera at the top left ( Punch hole). The Nokia 8.3 5G is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G, 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory (depending on the model).
The back of the Nokia 8.3 5G integrates a 64 MP PureView quad camera with Zeiss optics (64/12/2/2 MP | normal lens / ultra wide angle / depth sensor / macro), and a 24 MP selfie camera is installed in the front. The Nokia 8.3 5G also features a micro-SD card slot (up to 512 GB), FM radio receiver, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, LTE Cat. 18, WLAN 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS / AGPS, GLONASS and Beidou.
The feature set of the Nokia 8.3 5G is rounded off by a 4,500 mAh battery, a USB Type-C port and Android 10 as a mobile OS. All owners of a Nokia 8.3 5G also receive a free 6-month trial version of Google One. This includes faster upload speeds and an additional 100 GB of online storage space via Google Drive, Gmail and Google Photos.
The Nokia 8.3 5G is available from the end of September in Switzerland for an RRP of 649 CHF, from the beginning of October in Germany and from mid-October in Austria for 649 euros. The device comes in the color Polar Night with 8 GB RAM / 128 GB ROM in all three countries.
Security and Protection for Nokia Phones
In addition to new sound hardware, Nokia has also announced various protective cases for cell phones. Among other things, the Clear Case, which is suitable for Nokia 2.4, Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 8.3 5G and offers increased impact protection and improved handling thanks to the non-slip material. The Nokia Entertainment Flip Case for Nokia 3.4 made of vegan leather offers a functional solution for those who expect more from their phone case – complete protection, screen cover, card holder and a foldable entertainment stand.
The Clear Case for the Nokia 8.3 5G is available in the new colors Polar Night and Fern at an RRP of 9.90 euros, the Clear Case for the Nokia 2.4 and the Nokia 3.4 will be available from October at the same price. From October, retailers will also be offering the Nokia Entertainment Flip Cover at an RRP of EUR 24.90.
