In the course of today’s launch event from Huawei, three updated MateBooks were also presented. The MateBook X Pro will be updated with a new 10th-generation Intel processor and a green coat of paint, the Matebook D series will be available with both current Intel and AMD Ryzen CPUs.

Today, as expected, there were many updated products from Huawei to see, such as the Mate Xs folding cell phone, which is now to find friends in Europe for around 2,500 euros, the two MatePad Pro models with and without a 5G modem and of course new ones Mate Books. However, at least according to the information available so far based on the livestream launch event, these are not really complete innovations but only updated notebooks with updated chips.

The MateBook X Pro now receives the latest processors of the 10th Intel Core generation, apparently in the 14 nm Comet Lake version, because Huawei explicitly names the Core i7-10510U with up to 4.9 Ghz Turbo clock. Nothing has changed in the 13.9-inch display with a resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels, but what is new is a not unattractive green color option, which Huawei mobile boss Richard Yu proudly holds up at the camera. MateBook D 14 and MateBook D15 will also be refreshed in 2020, in addition to the already known new versions with AMD Ryzen 5 3500 processor, there are variants with AMD Ryzen 7 and Vega 10 GPU as well as an Intel version with Core i5 CPU and Nvidia MX250 GPU. The latter is also optional on board the MateBook X Pro.

The MateBook X Pro 2020 starts in April with a Core i5 processor, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD for € 1,499 and can be configured up to Core i7, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD and Geforce MX250 for € 1,999. The MateBook D15 starts with Ryzen 5, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD for 649 euros and lands with Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, 1 TB hard drive and Geforce MX250 at 949 euros. Last but not least, the MateBook D 14 is available at prices between 699 euros for the Ryzen 5 variant with 8 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD and 949 euros for the Core i5 version with 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD and Nvidia MX250- GPU.
