Whatever Huawei will ultimately call its “Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra-Killer” – the Huawei P40 Pro P or P40 Pro Premium Edition will apparently be a beast, at least after looking through the information currently on a South Korean website, for which we have no finger Set fire
The specifications of the Huawei P40 Pro in the Premium Edition, which are published on a website that is not mentioned by name, are currently not verifiable, and the circumstances are a bit dubious. The Chinese website ITHome – not always the best source of reliable information – has published a screenshot of a South Korean website (see below), but without specific sources. For these reasons, we are still somewhat skeptical about the authenticity of the following information.
There are quite a few detailed specifications for the top model of the Huawei P40 series, which may start under the name P40 Pro P – but we think the term Premium Edition is rather unrealistic. Apart from the details about the camera, this P40 Pro variant is apparently based on a 6.7-inch OLED display with 3,160 x 1,440 pixels resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, which is exactly what Oppo found in the Find X2 Pro and Samsung in the Galaxy Offer S20 Ultra, which also fits the generous memory configuration with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB memory based on the Kirin 990 5G SoC.
In contrast to yesterday’s somewhat dubious leak, we are only talking about a dual selfie cam on a 32 megapixel basis with a 3D TOF sensor, the main camera on the back offers a 52 megapixel sensor, a 40 megapixel sensor, an 8 megapixel cam, 3D TOF sensor and the second zoom camera in the form of 10x periscope optics. Both EIS and optical image stabilization are well integrated. The battery obviously holds 5,500 mAh and is quickly charged with 50 watts, Qi wireless charging should also be quite fast with 27 watts. NFC, GPS and the IP68 certification are also mentioned.
