Xiaomi fans can breathe a sigh of relief: The Mi Watch should also officially come to Europe, as a company representative revealed at an event.

At this point we have already reported on the Mi Watch from the Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi, which, like other products of the company, should be characterized by a particularly good relationship between the offered performance and the price.

Xiaomi positions the Mi Watch in very direct competition to the Apple Watch but also cheaper alternatives such as the Samsung Galaxy Active 2 and relies on a Snapdragon Wear 3100. This brings four ARM Cortex A7 cores up to 1.2 GHz fast. The chip can use one gigabyte of RAM, and an eight gigabyte eMMC memory is installed for the operating system and user data.

A cellular modem is integrated as well as GPS, Glonass, BeiDou and NFC, the recording of sports is supported. A WiFi 802.11 b / g / n module is included.

Although the Mi Watch is theoretically – and practically self-importing – already available in Europe at this time, no information about the official availability in Europe was available yet. According to a report, this has now changed. Caschy’s blog states that the Xiaomi CFO and President International Shou Zi Chew made a clear statement about the publication at an event.

For example, a global version of the Mi Watch is currently being worked on, which will be presented “very soon”. According to the report, the date was not narrowed down, but an obvious release date would be June – then the first Mi-Store
