With the Oppo A53, a mid-range smartphone will appear on the market soon, which, according to a new leak, relies on the relatively young Snapdragon 460 and has a 90Hz display.

With the A52 and the A72, Oppo recently introduced two very competitive mid-range smartphones that are appropriately equipped and have a modern design. Now it looks like the Oppo A53 will soon be a successor to the cheaper of the two devices. This is at least indicated by a new leak, in which all specifications of the smartphone came to light.

Oppo A53 Fancy Blue

According to this, the A53 should have a 6.5-inch IPS display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz. The 16 MP selfie camera is supposed to hide in a round hole recess, which should be quite similar to that of the predecessor. A triple camera setup is used on the back, in which the main sensor has a resolution of 13 MP, whereas the macro and depth cameras each have to be content with 2 MP. The fingerprint scanner is also installed on the back here.

Inside, Oppo relies on the still relatively new Snapdragon 460, which is optionally available with 4/6 GB RAM and 64/128 GB internal storage. The built-in battery has an impressive capacity of 5000mAh and can be charged with up to 18 watts.

If these specifications come true, the Oppo A53 could be a very interesting device, since a 90Hz display is still a rarity in the price segment of around 200 euros. At this point we would like to point out that this is not information that has been confirmed by the manufacturer. We will only find out about this with the official launch of the smartphone.
