Samsung Electronics introduced the Galaxy XCover Pro smartphone, designed for workers in a wide range of industries (retail, manufacturing, healthcare and logistics).
The novelty has a degree of protection against ingress of moisture and dust IP68, is able to withstand falls from a height of up to 1.5 m even without a protective cover and is certified according to the MIL-STD 810G standard for use at high altitudes, in extreme humidity and in other harsh environmental conditions . Support for charging via the built-in Pogo pin connector and compatibility with third-party docking stations in combination with a 4050 mAh battery ensure efficient operation of the device all day. In cases where even more energy is needed, the battery of the device can be easily replaced by installing a spare battery in the smartphone, and continue to work.
Thanks to programmable keys Galaxy XCover Pro can carry out various actions in one click. This feature allows you to simplify complex workflows, for example, activate the scanner, turn on the flashlight or launch the CRM application without opening the menu or even looking at the screen . Using the walkie-talkie mode, users can stay in touch with the company’s head office, dispatchers or other colleagues.
Having got rid of the physical Home key, Samsung has made the design of the phone more concise and elegant without compromising on durability. Galaxy XCover Pro received a clear 6.3-inch unlimited display resolution FHD + with touch control in all conditions, including rain and snow. The gloved operating mode allows you to use your smartphone in “field” conditions, and the new voice input feature allows you to dictate messages and send them.

The Galaxy XCover Pro is equipped with all the premium features of Samsung Galaxy smartphones, including an immersive display, long-lasting battery and protection using the Samsung Knox security platform. For easier data warehouse management, immediate payment processing and convenient communication, the device is complemented by unique mobile solutions from Samsung partners. For example, in partnership with Microsoft, the company introduced the walkie-talkie function integrated into the Microsoft Teams service – the first partnership solution with the “push-to-talk” option.
On a new Samsung device, workers can complete production tasks with software and hardware solutions from Infinite Peripherals, KOAMTAC, Scandit and Visa. Retailers can track goods and process payments using barcode scans.
The Galaxy XCover Pro also supports Samsung POS, a mobile retail solution (POS) approved by the Visa Tap to Phone pilot program. This technology helps sellers stay up to date with what payment methods are preferred by users, and also eliminates the need to use POS equipment, replacing it with a simple and reliable solution. The integrated Tap to Phone terminal has the same capabilities that it provides with an EMV chip, while ensuring complete security and protection of financial data. Customers can make payments in seconds by simply bringing their contactless card, phone or wearable device to the Galaxy XCover Pro.
Reliable protection and convenient production management
In addition to high durability, Galaxy XCover Pro also protects user data thanks to the multi-level Samsung Knox platform. The device received a fingerprint scanner and face recognition of the user, which provides instant access to information without touch when working in the field.
With Samsung Knox, enterprises can quickly and easily configure a device and manage firmware versions, giving IT administrators control over a fleet of devices with Knox Configure and Knox E-FOTA tools. In some markets, the Galaxy XCover Pro smartphone will be available in the Enterprise Edition.
